Our story is rooted in a genuine desire to help others access the digital world with confidence and that desire to help has grown into a true passion for Web Accessibility.
2016
We launched our company with a focus on building custom WordPress websites and developing innovative software solutions, laying the foundation for everything ClearPath would become.
This foundation means we understand both the technical and human sides of web accessibility, and how to implement it in real-world systems.
2016
After winning an RFP to build a fully ADA Section 508 and WCAG-compliant website, we quickly discovered how limited and confusing the available information was. Every guideline felt buried under layers of legal jargon, like you needed a law degree just to understand the basics. That experience became the spark that pushed us to learn, simplify, and eventually dedicate ourselves to making accessibility clear and achievable for everyone.
Today, that same drive to simplify complex requirements is what helps our clients understand exactly what needs to be fixed, and why.
2018
After completing several accessibility projects, we realized how time-consuming it was to add missing alt text across an entire website. To streamline the process, we built our first WordPress accessibility plugin, one of the earliest tools of its kind. What started as a simple solution to a frustrating problem became the foundation for the powerful accessibility tools we create today.
The lessons from this plugin now power the tooling and processes we use to make your accessibility work faster and more reliable.
2019
After discovering my passion for web accessibility, I knew I wanted to do more than just build compliant websites, I wanted to empower others. I began giving presentations to web agencies, developers, and designers across the country, teaching them how to design and develop with accessibility in mind from the very beginning. All while continuing to grow our Accessibility tool that we offered and still offer for free.
By teaching about web accessibility, we where able to multiply our impact by empowering entire teams to build inclusively on every project going forward.
2023
While auditing and remediating websites. We saw a rapidly growing need for accessible, ADA Section 508–compliant documents, especially PDFs. Recognizing how many organizations were struggling to meet these standards, we expanded our expertise to provide full, accurate PDF remediation and support.
